Rose City Mile
The Rose City Mile is organized by Rose City Track Club and takes place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Franklin High School in southeast Portland (5405 SE Woodward St, Portland, OR 97206). The meeting is presented as an annual track meet and is the ninth edition of the event.
The program includes multiple competitive sections and events: a Rosebud Kids' Race for young children, an Open Mile, and a Mixed 4 x 400 m relay that requires team sign-up. Additional sections listed for the meet include youth (ages 8–14), masters, and high school competition. The event features about 300 competitors and spectator attendance.
Awards are given in men's, women's, and non-binary categories. Participants who select "Non-Binary" or "Prefer Not to Say" during registration are eligible for the non-binary awards category. Runners are seeded into heats based on age, gender, and estimated finishing time; check-in closes 20 minutes before an assigned heat and same-day registration is available for a stated fee but closes 50 minutes before the first heat in each section.
Online registration closes at midnight on June 11. Published entry fees include the Rosebud Kids' Race, the Open Mile with a youth price for ages 8–18, and the Mixed 4 x 400 m relay; same-day entry carries a separate fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
