Event overview
The Roots & Routes 5K at the Mills is a trail race starting at the Rocky Mount Mills in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. The event raises money for the non-profit organization Ripe For Revival, which works to connect farm surplus with community food access.
Course and logistics
The 5K race starts and finishes in the Rocky Mount Mills parking lot. The route includes a section of less than half a mile to and from the bike trails at Battle Park, where the majority of the race takes place. Participants must be at least six years old to take part.
Runner benefits and awards
Registered runners receive a t-shirt in their chosen size if registered by a specified date, with available sizes provided after that date. All finishers receive a medal. Age group awards are given for male and female participants in roughly ten-year increments.
