Roosevelt Run/Walk 5K
The Roosevelt Run/Walk 5K takes place in Arthurdale, West Virginia, through the community's historic district and homestead grounds. The event features activities around the preserved New Deal homesteads and includes opportunities to see onsite historic features and animals associated with the site. The occasion highlights the homestead story and the role of First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt in the community's origins.

Pre-registration for adult events is priced at $30 with a deadline of May 13; registrations after May 13 are $35 and a t-shirt is not guaranteed. The Kid's Run is open to ages 10 and under, costs $5, and all kid participants receive a medal; pre-registration for the kids race ends June 10. Awards include a prize for the top overall male and female 5K finishers and medals for top male and female finishers in each age category. Age brackets for the 5K run, listed separately for male and female, are under 10, 11-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-over. Walk age brackets are under 10, 11-16, 17-39, 40-59, and 60-over.
