Romeriksåsen på langs
Romeriksåsen på langs is a forest trail race organized by Romerike Ultraløperklubb. The main distance is 50 km, run on marked trails through Romeriksåsen. The course aims to be as close to 50 km as possible and is well marked so competitors do not need a map or GPS.
The route includes about 36 km on blue‑marked trails and passes many lakes and known locations such as Brovoll, Snellingen, Råbjørnhytta, Råsjøen, Hakkim and Lysdammen. Total ascent is about 1000 metres and total descent about 1250 metres, with highest and lowest points at 573 and 197 metres above sea level respectively. Terrain is mainly open pine forest and includes technical singletrack and boggy sections; conditions vary with recent weather.
Field size is limited to 400 start places. Maximum time to finish is 12 hours, with passings at the two aid stations after 15 km and 33 km subject to cutoffs. Organizers use yellow signs with black arrows, marker tape and some spray stripes for navigation.
Practical arrangements noted in participant information include an entry fee structure, an optional bus to the start, an environmental TPU drinking cup for purchase, and an event medal for finishers. Minimum age is 18 years and age classes follow five year brackets. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
