Wizz Air Rome Half Marathon by Brooks 2026
The Wizz Air Rome Half Marathon by Brooks takes place on 18 October 2026 and is organized by RomaOstia Ssd with RCS Sports and Events involvement. The main race covers 21.0975 km and runs through Rome city centre, passing landmarks such as the Colosseum, the Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla and Piazza Navona. The 2026 course starts from Porta Ardeatina and finishes at the Colosseum. The event has obtained the World Athletics Elite Label.
The programme includes additional events and activities around the race: an expo, training days and supporting races such as the Longevity Run presented by Altograno and an Arcaplanet Dog Run. The Longevity Run is a non competitive 5 km event focused on prevention and health education and offers free medical checks that monitor blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose, BMI, smoking habits, diet, physical activity and sleep.
Previous editions reached high participation numbers, with the second edition recording 22,304 registered runners. Registrations for 2026 were reported as sold out and participation is available through the event charity programme, which had raised more than €67,000 in donations.
