First Annual Roger B. Lim Memorial Run
The First Annual Roger B. Lim Memorial Run is a community running and walking event held in Lenoir, North Carolina, at 710 Powell Rd NE. The event honors Dr. Roger B. Lim, an emergency physician and lifelong runner who supported youth soccer. Proceeds will benefit a scholarship fund administered through the Catawba Valley Youth Soccer Association.
The event program includes the following distances:
- 5K race (registration fee $25)
- 10K race (registration fee $25)
- 1 mile memorial walk (free)
Registration opens on the dates specified by the organizers and closes before event day. The memorial walk is offered for family, friends, co-workers, and community members who prefer not to run the 5K or 10K. Medals will be awarded to the first male and first female overall and in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 plus.
