The Big Kahuna 5K, 10K - Fort Worth

The Big Kahuna takes place on June 28, 2026 at River Side Trail Head in Fort Worth, Texas. The event is hosted by Bigfoot Running Company and uses a tropical luau theme with leis, music at the start and finish, and a tropical photo backdrop. Packet pickup is available before the race and post-race offerings include a tropical treat for participants.

Race organization and participant items are specified for each distance. The 5K and 10K are chip-timed and include awards, while the Kids Dash and 1 Mile are not chip-timed. Finisher medals are provided for the 1 Mile, 5K and 10K; a special Kids Dash medal is offered for youngest participants. Age-group awards are listed for 5K and 10K with standard first, second and third place distinctions and an overall Bigfoot Trophy for first overall male and female.

Volunteer options are available, including a limited "Volunteer then Run" 5K that provides a chip-timed bib, race tee and finisher medal. Full race volunteers receive a race shirt, VIP access and a choice of a free future race entry or a prepaid digital gift card. Course terrain includes pavement, crushed granite and some dirt paths; events occur in parks and greenbelts where other users may be present.
