The Big Kahuna 5K, 10K - Fort Worth
The event takes place on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at River Side Trail Head, 3101 Riverfront Dr, Fort Worth, TX 76107. It is hosted by Bigfoot Running Company and includes in-person and virtual options. The in-person schedule includes a Kids Dash, a 1 Mile run, a 5K and a 10K. Packet pickup opens 1.5 hours before race start. The race area uses public parks and greenbelts.
Race features, awards and logistics
- Kids Dash : for ages 10 and under; not timed; includes a race tee, a special Kids Dash medal, and a post-race treat.
- 1 Mile : not chip-timed; includes a race tee, finisher medal, and a post-race treat.
- 5K (3.11 miles) : chip-timed; awards and finisher medal; includes a race tee and post-race treat ticket.
- 10K (6.22 miles) : chip-timed; awards and finisher medal; includes a race tee and post-race treat ticket.
Finisher awards include medals for 1 Mile, 5K and 10K. The 5K and 10K offer a 1st overall male and female Bigfoot Trophy, a 1st Masters (40+) recognition pin, and standard age-group awards. Age groups run from 10 & under through 70+. Course terrain includes pavement, crushed granite, and some dirt paths. Packet pickup is always open 1.5 hours before the race and shirt guarantee requires registration at least 10 days before race day.
Volunteer options include a limited "Volunteer Then Run" position for the 5K and full race volunteer roles with shirt, VIP access, and reward choices. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
