Rodeo Run 5K/10K
The Rodeo Run is a western-themed running event held at Huntington State Beach, Lot 10 (21601 Pacific Coast Hwy, Huntington Beach, CA 92646). The event offers multiple race options and family activities with a cowboy and cowgirl theme, including live horses, line dance instructors, and a learn-to-rope station.

- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- Little Cowpoke Dash (200 and 400 yards) or 1 Mile Kid's Fun Run
Timing for the 5K and 10K is chip timed by Itz About Time. Participants receive a western-themed event shirt, a running bib, and a custom cast finisher medal that converts to a belt buckle; a new medal design is produced each year. Awards are given three deep in 5-year age divisions from ages 1–10 through 85 and up, plus top overall trophies.
Practical details: the course is described as flat and fast on a paved path with beach views and shared use by cyclists, runners, and dog walkers. Water is provided at the 1-mile and 2-mile points and at 10K turnarounds. Strollers and dogs on leashes are allowed. Same-day registration and packet pick-up are available at the race site, and an early packet pick-up session is held at Sports Basement Fountain Valley the day before.
