The RODEO RUN 5K/10K : event overview
The RODEO RUN 5K/10K is scheduled for Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Huntington State Beach, CA (corner of Beach Blvd and Pacific Coast Hwy, Lot 10; 21601 Pacific Coast Hwy). The event has a cowboy western theme with live horses, western music, line dance instructors, a roping station, and a line-dance warm-up area. Timing for the 5K and 10K uses RFID chip timing provided by Itz About Time. Registration includes a western-themed event shirt, a running bib, and a custom cast finisher medal that converts to a belt buckle. Same-day packet pick-up and walk-up registration are available; one person may pick up for multiple participants. Dogs on leash and strollers are allowed.

The course is on a paved running path, described as flat with beach views and surf sounds. The course is open to the public and will be shared with cyclists, other runners, and dog walkers. Water stations are located around the 1-mile and 2-mile points and at the 10K turnarounds. State Park entry for parking is noted as $15; metered street parking and Pacific City parking are also mentioned. Awards are given three deep in 5-year age divisions and include top overall male and female trophies. The event collects donations to support Miss Pam’s Ranch, including funds for an accessible restroom and related accessibility projects. Rain or shine.
