Rocky Neck Runfest
Rocky Neck Runfest takes place at Rocky Neck State Park and features races on beachside roads and woodland trails. The venue includes views of Bride Brook salt marsh, the historic Ellie Mitchell Pavilion, and the Four Mile River tidal area. The event in 2026 is noted as the final year of the Runfest.
Race operations use a central exchange zone that allows relay team members to refuel, rest, and watch other legs before returning to the course. The finish line is located at the beach with an adjacent post race area that includes live music and food from Flanders Fish Market.
Available race formats include:
- Rocky Neck Relay: three person team with one road 5K and one trail 5K each
- Rocky Neck 30K: solo race of six 5K rotations for approximately 18.6 miles
- Rocky Neck 5K: trail or road option with a beachfront finish
The trail 5K is part of the USATF Connecticut Mountain, Ultra and Trail series. All participants receive a technical shirt and a custom designed finisher medal. The event lists HMF’s Susie Beris, MD Youth Running Program as the charity beneficiary. In 2026 HMF also offers a Milestone membership program with member perks and an optional Milestone+ upgrade.
