Rocky Mountain 5K presented by School District 11
The Rocky Mountain 5K is a community 5K run/walk held at America the Beautiful Park in Colorado Springs. The course is an out-and-back, mostly flat route that follows the Pikes Peak Greenway trail north for about 1.55 miles to the turnaround. The event is presented in partnership with the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region and the Colorado Springs Sports Corp as the official 5K of the Rocky Mountain State Games and supports YMCA programs and Rocky Mountain State Games initiatives.

Participants receive a swag item. Top three male and female competitors in each division receive gold, silver, or bronze medals. An award ceremony for overall and division winners takes place near the DJ in Vendor Village. Dogs are welcome with a Furry Friend add-on; canine participants must be leashed, vaccinated, well-behaved, and their humans must clean up after them.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at the Downtown YMCA, 207 North Nevada Avenue, and on race morning next to the start line. Free parking is available in limited spaces off Cimino Dr with additional parking off S. Sierra Madre St and accessible spaces along Cimino Dr.
All ticket sales are final; refunds are not issued for weather or similar events beyond the Sports Corp's control. Credits or ticket transfers may be offered at the Sports Corp's discretion on a case by case basis. Refund requests believed to fall outside the stated policy must be submitted in writing within 14 days after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
