Event Overview
The Rocky Mountain 5K is the official 5K of the Rocky Mountain State Games. It is presented by School District 11 and organized by the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region and the Colorado Springs Sports Corp. The event supports programs for families and initiatives to provide sport opportunities.

Course
The 5K is an out-and-back course that is mostly flat. It starts at America the Beautiful Park in Colorado Springs and goes north on the Pikes Peak Greenway trail for 1.55 miles to a turn-around point.
Participant Information
All 5K participants receive a swag item. The top three male and female competitors in each division receive gold, silver, or bronze medals. An award ceremony is held near the DJ in the Vendor Village.
Dogs, referred to as "Furry Friends," are welcome to run with a registered human participant for an additional fee. They must be leashed, current on shots, and well-behaved, and they receive a dog bandana.
Logistics
There is limited free parking near the park, with additional parking available. Accessible parking spaces are provided. Packet pickup is available the day before the race at The Downtown YMCA and on race morning near the start line.
