Distances
- 50K
- Marathon
- 21 Mile
- 4 Mile
The course is made of four interconnected loop trails: Horsethief Canyon, Prairie, Alum Creek, and Big Bluff. The Rockin K loop is the marathon loop. The 21 mile course excludes the Big Bluff loop. 50K runners repeat the Big Bluff loop. The 4 mile course is a short out-and-back from the Corral shelter to Horsethief Canyon.
Trail details and race support include roughly ten gates per loop that should be closed behind runners, colored ribbon markings (pink to the Gate 6 aid station and around Big Bluff, orange from Gate 6 toward the finish), and several fence crossings with protective coverings. There will be at least two manned aid stations and additional unmanned water points when weather permits. Drop bags are collected race morning and must be marked with name, bib number, and race. Crews can access the Gate 6 area only by parking and walking; pacers are not allowed.
Event facilities include packet pickup at race headquarters the day before and the morning of the race, post race food with a vegetarian option, a technical blend shirt, and awards for top finishers and finishers including canine awards. The organizer lists health and safety precautions and an assumption of risk regarding communicable disease exposure. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
