Rocket City Runners & Run With Kenyans Juneteenth Run
The event on June 19, 2027 takes place at Ditto Landing and follows the shaded Aldridge Creek Greenway in Huntsville, Alabama. The course is an out-and-back route with marked turnaround points for the 5K and 10K distances.
Distances offered:
- 1 mile
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
Registration opens July 20, 2026 and closes June 11, 2027. Entry fees listed for each distance are $20 for the 1 mile, $30 for the 5K, and $35 for the 10K. Packet pickup is handled by RunningLane at 2407 Memorial Parkway SW, Huntsville, with pickup dates scheduled in the week before the event.
Every finisher will receive a custom medal and a shirt. The event will present awards for the largest registered group or team and age group awards, with full placement details to be announced. Professional race timing and results will be provided by RunningLane.
All donations and proceeds from the race will benefit the Run Abroad Initiative, supporting student-athlete scholarships and exchange programs, youth summer camps, community park and wellness running programs, shoe drives for Kenyan student-athletes, and development of a high-altitude training camp in Kenya.
