2nd Annual Rock the Climb
Rock the Climb is a memorial stair climb event held at the Hard Rock Guitar Hotel in Hollywood, Florida. Organized by the Firefighters Benevolent of Davie and the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, this event honors first responders and raises funds for the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund and the Firefighters Benevolent of Davie. Participants ascend the hotel stairs to commemorate the steps taken by heroes on September 11, 2001.
The event offers three distinct distance options to accommodate different levels of participation:
- 110 Story Climb
- 72 Story Climb
- 36 Story Climb
Registration is open to several categories of participants. Firefighters may choose to climb in full gear, which consists of a helmet, bunker jacket, and pants, or they may participate in athletic wear. The general public and civilians are also eligible to register for all distances.
All registered participants receive a race package including a personalized bib with an RFID timing chip and a dri-fit shirt. Finishers receive a commemorative medal and access to post-climb refreshments. For the first 500 registrants, a swag bag and a challenge coin are guaranteed.
