Event Overview
The Rock, Paper, Run 5K Run/Walk is an annual community event held in North Little Rock. It takes place on Sunday, April 19, 2026. The event is a partnership between the Central Arkansas Library System and the North Little Rock Public Library System, held in celebration of National Library Week. Proceeds from the event benefit these library systems.
Location and Course
The event starts and finishes at the Argenta Library, located at 420 Main Street in North Little Rock. The 5K route is a fun run/walk that primarily uses sidewalks. The course begins at the library, proceeds through downtown North Little Rock, crosses the Broadway Pedestrian Bridge and the Clinton Bridge, and returns via Riverfront Park Trail and local streets.
Registration and Fees
Two event options are available:
- Rock, Paper, Run 5K: The main in-person event.
- Spirit Runner (Not Participating Day of): A registration option for those not running on the day.
The standard registration fee is $35. There is a reduced fee of $15 for participants aged 4-12, and no fee for children aged 0-3. A team discount is offered: groups of five or more registering together receive $3 off per person.
Awards and Timing
All participants receive a custom medal featuring the event logo. Age-group awards are given to the top racers in categories from 0-9 up to 80 and over, as well as awards for the top overall male and female racers. The race is timed using an RFID chip timing system provided by Agee Race Timing. Instructions are provided for correctly wearing the timing chips.
Event Guidelines
Several guidelines are in place for participants. Baby joggers are permitted but must start behind all runners and walkers. Pets, rollerblades, bicycles, and skateboards are not allowed on the course. The use of headphones and similar audio devices is strongly discouraged. Race numbers must be worn on the front and be visible at all times. Entries are non-transferable and there are no refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
