Event Overview
The Candy Cane Course is a holiday-themed running event held in North Little Rock, Arkansas. This winter gathering features multiple registration categories and distances to accommodate a variety of participants. The event provides chip-timing with live results and awards for the main competitive distances. Participants receive several items with their registration, including a designer shirt, a custom bib, and a finisher medal. Free photos are also provided during the event.
Distances and Participation
The event offers several individual race distances:
- Kids Dash: A 50m untimed run for children aged 10 and under.
- 1 Mile: An untimed distance that include standard participant swag.
- 5k: A 3.1 mile chip-timed race.
- 10k: A 6.2 mile chip-timed race.
- 15k: A 9.3 mile chip-timed race.
Children aged 10 and under are permitted to participate in the Kids Dash for free if they do not wish to receive the shirt and medal. A "Volunteer then Run" option is also available, allowing individuals to assist with event preparations 30 minutes before packet pickup before participating in a distance of their choice.
Additional Features
The finish line features various food treats for participants. To ensure the receipt of a preferred shirt size, registration must be completed by midnight on the Thursday falling two weeks prior to the race date. For those unable to attend the physical location in North Little Rock, a virtual race option is available, allowing participants to complete their run independently and receive the event swag by mail.
