Event Overview
The Robin Hood 100 is a 100-mile trail ultramarathon. The route starts and finishes at South Wheatley Village Hall in Nottinghamshire. It takes place on Saturday, 12th September 2026.
Course Details
The course is a fully marked trail run. It heads out from the village hall to the Chesterfield Canal towpath, which is followed to Worksop. From there, the route joins part of the Dukeries race course and enters Sherwood Forest, passing landmarks like the Major Oak. The forest section forms a 30-mile loop that is run twice before returning to the finish via the same canal towpath. The terrain is described as nice underfoot, runnable, and scenic, with relatively flat trails and steady undulations, but no major climbs.
Logistics and Rules
The event has a cut-off time of 30 hours. A key non-negotiable cut-off point is at Aid Station 3 on the return lap. Runners must be aged 20 or over to enter. A maximum of 150 runners are permitted. Parking at the hall is limited, and car-sharing is encouraged.
Pacers are allowed from approximately the 50-mile point. Drop bags are permitted and will be accessible at Aid Station 4 (mile 51.8 and 81.4). Crew support is also allowed for this distance. All food and drink provided at aid stations and the finish is vegan.
Participant Support
The event features regular, well-stocked aid stations. At the finish, hot soup, tea, and coffee are available. Finishers can choose between planting a tree or receiving a race t-shirt and a personalised medal. Trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers.
