Robin Hood 100
The Robin Hood 100 is an ultra running event of 100 Miles based at South Wheatley Village Hall, Sturton Road, Retford, Notts (DN22 9DH). The event is held every other year; the next race is scheduled for September 2026. Entries are limited to 150 runners, entry fee listed as 164, and entrants must be over 20 years of age. Online entries close three weeks before the event or when full and there is no entry on the day.
Course and race details
The route is fully marked and follows runnable, scenic trails. From the village hall the course follows the Chesterfield Canal towpath to Worksop, then enters Sherwood Forest and completes a roughly 30-mile forest loop twice before returning on the towpath. The route passes Creswell Crags, the Welbeck Estate, Clumber Park, the Thoresby Estate, and the Major Oak. The terrain is described as relatively flat with occasional steady undulations.
A 30-hour overall cut-off applies; the main non-negotiable cut-off is enforced at Aid Station 3 on the return lap. Cut-offs are calculated on an 18-minute-per-mile average and runners behind schedule may be withdrawn after warning. Aid stations are regularly staffed and well stocked; the event is fully vegan. Pacers are allowed from about the 50-mile point (Aid Station 4, 51.8 miles) to the finish, one pacer at a time. Drop bags are available at Aid Station 4 (51.8M and 81.4M). Parking at the hall is limited. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
