Event details
The Roaring Color Fun Run and Walk is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 1150 North Highway 393, La Grange, KY 40031. The event is organized by the Locust Grove PTO and is the second annual running of the color run. The program includes the following distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
- 5K (LGE Parent or Sibling)
- 1 Mile (LGE Parent or Sibling)
The listed registration fees are $30 for the 5K and $15 for the 1 Mile. Prices increase after January 31, 2026. The event supports student enrichment at Locust Grove Elementary.
Practical information
Packet pick-up is available on Friday, March 27, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the tennis court lot at Oldham County High School. Limited race-day packet pick-up is available from 8:45 AM to 9:45 AM. Every registration includes a finisher’s medal, post-race refreshments, and access to family activities. Children in strollers are free but do not receive a race bib, t-shirt, or medal.
5K participants receive a cotton t-shirt and finisher medal, with an option to upgrade to a tech t-shirt. 1 Mile participants receive a finisher medal and may add a t-shirt during registration. The event will feature multiple color stations, an expanded family activity area, vendors, food trucks (including Fitz Freeze and Dough Baby Donuts), an inflatable kids zone, and the Teddy Bear Mobile - Kentuckiana.
