Road Warrior 50k
The Road Warrior Race is a 33.5 mile loop run that follows mostly bike path through West Chicago, Geneva, Batavia, North Aurora, Warrenville and Wheaton, returning to Dick Pond Athletics in Carol Stream. The course is divided into six sections of roughly 5.5 miles each and can be completed by an individual or by a relay team.
Relay teams may include multiple runners on course simultaneously and a runner may be accompanied by someone on a bicycle. At least one runner must run an entire leg and all legs must be completed by the team. Transfer points for each leg serve as aid stations; there are five aid stations located at the transfer points and each will provide pretzels, granola bars and water at minimum, with some stations also offering Gatorade. Numerous public restrooms and water fountains are available along the route and several are identified on the course map and details packet.
Registration is free for Dick Pond Racing team members for 2025. Paid registration tiers are offered for individuals and relay members, and separate general public rates are listed for different registration windows. Registration closes on Friday, July 16th at midnight. Packet and bib pickup are handled at Dick Pond Athletics. The event is directed by an RRCA certified race director. Parking is available at Red Hawk Park across the street from the start and finish; carpooling is encouraged to preserve space. Special accommodations can be requested in advance.
