Road Warrior 50k - Carol Stream, IL (July 18, 2026)
The Road Warrior Race is presented as a long loop run that begins and ends at Dick Pond Athletics in Carol Stream. The course is described as a 33.5 mile loop composed mostly of bike path and passes through West Chicago, Geneva, Batavia, North Aurora, Warrenville, and Wheaton. The event offers both individual and relay entries.
- 50K Individual
- Relay teams of any size
Relay teams may split the course into legs however they choose, with the requirement that at least one runner completes each leg in its entirety and that all legs be completed by the team. Multiple runners may run the same leg and a runner may be accompanied by a cyclist. Teams are responsible for their own transportation between transfer locations. Aid stations are provided at transfer points; they will offer basic fluids, snacks, and in some cases additional items and sports drink. Runners are encouraged to carry reusable bottles or cups; a limited number of disposable cups will be available.
Registration differentiates Dick Pond Racing team members from nonmembers and lists fees for nonmembers for individual and relay entries with higher fees after mid May. Parking near the start and finish may be limited. A post-race picnic with burgers, hotdogs, sides, and beverages will take place at the Dick Pond Athletics parking lot across from Red Hawk Park.
