Event Overview
The RNLI Yellow Welly Cobble Wobble is an off-road running event held on the Clovelly Estate in North Devon. The course covers approximately 12 miles of varied terrain, offering participants access to private areas of the estate that are typically closed to the public.
The route features a mix of environments, including plantations, meandering woodland trails, and steep climbs. Participants run through the ancient woodland of Brownsham Woods before reaching Mouth Mill Beach. The course continues along the high cliffs of the North Devon coastline towards Clovelly Harbour.
Terrain and Course Details
The race includes several distinct geographical features:
- 12 miles - Off-road course with technical descents and steep hills.
- Coastal sections providing views of Lundy and Exmoor.
- A final ascent through the famous cobbled street of Clovelly.
- The finish line is located at the Clovelly Visitor Centre after passing through meadow fields.
