RMRR March Trophy Series

Rocky Mountain Road Runners holds a monthly series of timed races in the Denver area that aims to provide a low key, low cost racing environment. The March event is staged at Johnson Reservoir in Clement Park, Littleton, with the venue address listed as 8116 W. Bowles Avenue, Littleton, CO 80123.

The event features a single 5K course for all participants. The course consists of two loops around the lake on paved paths. RMRR Trophy Series races use a staggered start and scoring system, beginning from slower to faster runners and spread out over about 20 minutes. Organizers use each runner's estimated time to assign start groups so participants start with others of similar speed.

After the run, light snacks are provided while results are compiled. Awards are limited: the top three female and top three male finishers by net time are recognized in each race. In addition, the top ten club members are awarded based on handicap times. The format emphasizes timed competition with staggered starts and a simple awards structure.
