Riverview Park & Zoo Fun Run and Walk
The event takes place on September 26, 2026 at Riverview Park & Zoo in Peterborough. Funds raised will support construction of a fully accessible playground at the zoo; the fundraising goal is CA$5,000 and CA$1,108.41 has been raised so far. Registration is limited to 500 participants.
The course starts and finishes at Riverview Park & Zoo and follows an out-and-back route fully contained within zoo property. Both distances are chip timed and pass through the park's animal and natural areas.

Every participant receives a medal. Awards are given to top finishers in each distance and the top three fundraisers receive prizes. An animal-themed costume contest includes prizes for best dressed.
Race kit pickup is available the day before and on race day at the Rotary Education Centre. Post-race refreshments include apples and granola bars; a water wagon will be on site for refilling reusable bottles and coffee will be provided.
