Riverview Park & Zoo Fun Run and Walk
Riverview Park & Zoo Fun Run and Walk takes place on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Riverview Park & Zoo in Peterborough, Ontario. The event offers both running and walking options on a course that starts and finishes at the zoo and follows an out-and-back route fully contained within zoo property.
The event supports fundraising to create a fully accessible playground at the zoo. Current fundraising progress and a goal are published for the event, and the top fundraisers receive special prizes.

- 1 km run or walk
- 5 km run or walk
Both distances are chip timed. Every participant receives a medal and additional awards are given to top finishers. An animal-themed costume contest is included, with prizes for best costumes.
Race kit pickup is available at the Rotary Education Centre, 1300 Water St, Peterborough. Light post-race refreshments such as apples and granola bars will be provided. A water wagon will be on site for refilling reusable bottles and coffee will be available. Washrooms and parking are available on site but are limited; organizers note the site may be busy.
