Riverview Park & Zoo Fun Run and Walk - event details
The Riverview Park & Zoo Fun Run and Walk takes place on September 26, 2026 at Riverview Park & Zoo in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Funds raised at the event are directed toward building a fully accessible playground at the zoo; the fundraising progress is shown on the event page.

The course is an out-and-back route contained entirely within zoo property and starts and finishes at Riverview Park & Zoo. Both the 1 km and 5 km races are chip timed. Every participant receives a medal; awards are planned for top finishers in each distance and special prizes will be given to the top three fundraisers.
An animal-themed costume contest is encouraged and prizes will be awarded for best costumes. Light post-race refreshments such as apples and granola bars will be available. A water wagon will be on site to refill reusable bottles and coffee will be provided.
