Riverdale Y 5K & Fun Run
Riverdale Y 5K & Fun Run is an annual community event hosted by Riverdale Y that includes a timed 5K run, an untimed 1K family fun run/walk, and a post-race celebration with activities and games. The event supports Riverdale Y social impact programs and services.
The course starts and finishes at Riverdale Y, 5625 Arlington Avenue, Bronx, NY. The 5K route follows local streets in the Riverdale neighborhood, including Arlington Avenue, West 256 Street, Riverdale Avenue, Henry Hudson Parkway West, and nearby cross streets. The 1K course begins and ends at the same location and follows a short loop along West 256 Street and Riverdale Avenue.
Event logistics noted by the organizer include no parking at the site, no bag check, and restrooms available inside the Riverdale Y facility. Water stations will be available at the start and finish and about halfway through the 5K course. Hatzalah and NYPD will be present for on-site medical and safety support. The 5K is timed and results will be posted by the timing partner; the 1K is untimed.
Participation details include that children ages 3 to 15 may run if accompanied by a registered adult, children 2 and under are free, and strollers are permitted only in the 1K.
