Riverbend Ultras 12 HR/50K
Riverbend Ultras takes place at the River Pavilion on Picnic Island in Riverbend Park, Jupiter, FL. The course uses gravel trails along the Loxahatchee River, including a section of the Lake to Ocean Trail, and passes through oaks and cabbage palms. Wildlife commonly seen includes deer, turkey, turtles, raccoons, and many birds.
Distances and formats:
- 12-Hour: as many 3.25 mile Riverbend loops as a participant can complete
- 50K: 2 0.85-mile Picnic Island loops plus 9 3.25-mile loops (31.2 miles)
- Fun Run: roughly 3.2 mile loop, untimed, medal available, optional shirt
Trophies are awarded to 1st Place Male and Female in each distance. All 50K and 12-Hour participants receive shirts and medals. Fun Run entrants do not have their time tracked and are not eligible for awards; they pay a nominal fee that may include a medal and optional shirt.
The event follows a self-supported format, with encouragement for participants to share snacks and potluck items; there is ample space for day setups. It is organized as a non-profit endeavor; proceeds beyond basic overhead benefit the local Florida Trail Association chapter. No refunds are offered; registrations may be deferred to the following year or forfeited fees donated to the Florida Trail Association.
