About the race
Riverbend Ultras 12 HR/50K takes place at the River Pavilion on Picnic Island in Riverbend Park, Jupiter, FL on September 11, 2027. The event is organized by Mule Racing and includes three participation options: a 12 hour event, a 50K, and a Fun Run.
The course runs along the Loxahatchee River on gravel trails and includes a section of the Lake to Ocean Trail. Runners pass through oaks and cabbage palms and frequently observe wildlife such as deer, turkey, turtles, raccoons, and many birds. Facilities include a large tiki hut with tables; participants may also bring 10'x10' pop up tents and there is ample space for day setups. There are no aid stations so participants must carry their own food, water, and fuel.
Distances and formats
- 12-Hour: as many 3.25 mile Riverbend Loops as possible.
- 50K: 2 .85 mile Picnic Island Loops plus 9 3.25 mile Riverbend Loops for 31.2 miles.
- Fun Run: no official timing; nominal fee covers a donation and medal option.
Awards and policies: trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place male and female in each distance; all 50K and 12-Hour participants receive shirts and medals. The event is run as a non-profit and proceeds beyond overhead benefit the Wounded veterans relief fund. No refunds are offered; registrations may be deferred to the following year and forfeited fees are submitted as donations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
