Riverbend Ultras 12 HR/50K

Riverbend Ultras is a trail event at the River Pavilion on Picnic Island in Riverbend Park, Jupiter, FL, organized by Mule Racing. The course uses gravel trails along the Loxahatchee River and includes a section of the Lake to Ocean Trail. Runners pass through oak and cabbage palm habitat and may see deer, turkey, turtles, raccoons and many birds.

Event formats include:

• 12-Hour: as many 3.25 mile Riverbend loops as completed
• 50K: two 0.85 mile Picnic Island loops plus nine 3.25 mile Riverbend loops for 31.2 miles
• Fun Run: roughly a 3.2 mile Riverbend loop, untracked and noncompetitive

Trophies are awarded for first place male and female in each distance. All 50K and 12-Hour participants receive shirts and medals. Fun Run entrants pay a nominal fee that covers a donation and a medal, may add a shirt, are not timed and do not qualify for awards. The event is run in a fat@$$ style, so participants are expected to be largely self-supporting; potluck snacks and sharing are encouraged. The event operates as a nonprofit effort and proceeds beyond basic overhead will benefit the local Florida Trail Association chapter. Registrations are nonrefundable; registrants unable to attend may defer their entry to the following year, otherwise fees are treated as a donation.
