Riverbend Ultras 12 HR/50K : Riverbend Park, Jupiter, FL
The event is based at the River Pavilion on Picnic Island in Riverbend Park, Jupiter, FL, near 9060 Indiantown Road. Runners use gravel trails that include a section of the Lake to Ocean Trail, passing oaks, cabbage palms and frequent wildlife such as deer, turkey, turtles, raccoons and many birds. The Riverbend loop is described as roughly 3.2 to 3.25 miles.
The meeting is presented as a low-key, community-focused, self-supported fat@$$-style event where participants take care of their own needs. Organizers encourage potluck snacks and there is ample space for participants to set up for the day.
Awards and entry details differ by distance. Trophies are awarded to first place male and female in each distance. All 50K and 12-Hour entrants receive shirts and medals. Fun Run participants pay a nominal fee that covers a donation and a medal, may add a t-shirt, are not timed and do not qualify for awards. The event is run as a nonprofit and all proceeds beyond overhead benefit the local Florida Trail Association chapter. - 12-Hour: repeat 3.25-mile Riverbend loops as many as completed
- 50K: two 0.85-mile Picnic Island loops plus nine 3.25-mile Riverbend loops
- Fun Run: untimed loop, nominal fee, optional t-shirt, no awards
