Event Overview
The River Valley Superhero 5K is an annual event in Russellville, Arkansas, benefiting a child or children from the River Valley area battling a serious illness. The race encourages participants to dress as their favorite superhero. Awards are given for the best costumes in categories for adults, children, and groups.
Race Details
The main event is a 5K on a closed, "down and back" course that is described as relatively flat. The road surface is asphalt. Chip timing is used. A water point is provided along the route. Medical personnel are on standby. A 1K kids fun run takes place after the 5K, on a closed course within the parking lot. The races start and finish on the east side of Russellville Junior High School.
Logistics
All events meet at Russellville Junior High (2000 West Parkway Drive). Participant parking is in the large lot at the rear and west side of the school. Race packets include a bib, a t-shirt, and a timing chip. Finisher medals are provided. Packet pickup is available on the Friday before the race via a drive-thru at the school and on race morning.
