Event Overview
The River Roux Olympic Triathlon features a standard Olympic-distance multisport event in historic New Roads. The event includes several divisions beyond the individual triathlon.

- Olympic Triathlon: A 1.5 km swim, a 40 km bike ride, and a 10 km run.
- Aquabike: The swim and bike portions of the Olympic distance.

- Relay: A team option for the Olympic distance triathlon.
Course Details
The swim course is a double-loop, clockwise swim in False River, starting and ending at a floating dock. A designated warm-up area with safety personnel will be available before the race. The bike course is an out-and-back route around False River on roads that remain open to traffic. Police and volunteers will be present at major intersections, and support vehicles will provide mechanical assistance. The run course will have several aid stations offering water, Powerade, and gels.
Participant Information
Total entries are limited to 300 competitors. The event concludes with awards and a finish festival in a greenspace across from the transition area.
Organizer Background
The event is hosted by the RocketKidz Foundation (RKF), a non-profit organization focused on promoting active, healthy lifestyles for children, families, and communities through programming and advocacy.
