Event Overview
The River Roux Olympic Triathlon takes place in historic New Roads. The main event consists of a 1.5 km swim, a 40 km bike ride, and a 10 km run.

The event is limited to 300 competitors.
Course Details
The swim is a double-loop, clockwise course in False River, starting and ending at a floating dock. A self-seeded, time-trial start will be used, with athletes entering the water one at a time. A designated warm-up area with safety personnel is available before the race.
The bike course is an out-and-back route around False River. Roads remain open to traffic, with police and volunteers at major intersections. SAG support vehicles provide mechanical assistance on the course.
The run course will have four to five aid stations offering water, Powerade, and gels.
Post-Race and Organizer
The event concludes with awards and a finish fest in the greenspace across from the transition area. It is organized by the RocketKidz Foundation (RKF), a non-profit focused on promoting active, healthy lifestyles for children, families, and communities.
