Event Overview
ROGUE RIVER is an endurance event held at Riverside State Park in Spokane, Washington. Staged by Phase One Missions, the event takes place on a variety of surfaces including rocks, roots, gravel, asphalt, hard-packed dirt, and soft-packed dirt. Participants navigate the course using a GPX track on Gaia GPS.
The routes follow the Spokane River, climb various ridge lines, and pass through the natural terrain of the state park. All participants are required to carry a charging battery for their cell phone to ensure navigation remains available throughout the event. A Discover Pass is required for every vehicle to access the State Park trailheads.
Distances
- 30 Miler Run: A loop around Riverside State Park.
- 9 Miler Run: An out and back course.
- 9 Miler Ruck: An out and back course for rucking.
Support and Logistics
The event features five semi-stocked aid stations located at various trailheads, including Seven Mile, Carlson, Pine Bluff, Marchand, and Military Cemetery. These stations provide liquid nutrition, energy gels, protein bars, energy drinks, water, and snacks. Several locations also include bathroom facilities.
Crews are encouraged to support participants at each aid station, as all locations are accessible by vehicle. Drop bags are permitted specifically at the Pine Bluff aid station. A cutoff time is enforced at the Military Cemetery Trailhead to ensure all participants finish before the state park closes. Participants receive a training tee and a patch upon completion.
