Rogue River - Spokane, WA
Rogue River is an off-trail endurance event staged by Phase One Training Grounds in Spokane, Washington. The event offers the following options:
- 30 mile run
- 9 mile run
- 9 mile ruck
The course starts and finishes at Bowl/Pitcher in Riverside State Park and is unmarked. Participants receive a GPX file ahead of the event and are expected to self-navigate using a phone app such as Gaia GPS; the race director will confirm course downloads and provide a briefing before the start.
There are five semi-stocked aid stations located along the route, with water and snack options plus supplied fuels: Tailwind Endurance Fuel at the main aid station, NeverSecond C30 Energy Gels, and protein/energy products from 1st Phorm. Aid stations with bathrooms are noted at select trailheads. Crews are encouraged to support participants at aid stations, and drop bags are permitted at Pine Bluff.
Required items include a Discover Pass for vehicles accessing state park trailheads and a portable battery to recharge a phone. Participants should bring personal layers, hydration, and fueling supplies; nutrition will also be available at aid stations. Every participant receives a Phase One Training tee and a completion patch. The event currently has a no-refund policy. Volunteers may earn event fee discounts for qualifying hours of service.
