Largest Running Event in the Baltics
The Rimi Riga Marathon is a major international athletic event held annually in the capital of Latvia. The event features a wide range of distances across two days, catering to diverse participant interests. Runners pass through Riga’s urban landscape, which includes Art Nouveau architecture, the UNESCO-listed Old Town, and the Daugava River.
Participants can choose from several individual and team disciplines:

The schedule is divided by distance. The first day typically hosts the DPD mile and various distances dedicated to children. The second day features the full marathon, half marathon, and the 10 km and 6 km races.
The event provides professional amenities including specific course medals and official running shirts designed by prominent Latvian artists. The competition also includes a prize money structure and serves as part of the AbbottWMM Age Group World Championships. Team competition is facilitated through the Rimi Teams’ Cup.
