Ridgewood Reservoir 5K Run/Walk 2026
The Ridgewood Reservoir 5K Run/Walk takes place on October 18, 2026 at The Ridgewood Reservoir in Glendale, New York. The event raises funds for NYC H2O and supports the organization’s environmental education and stewardship programs.
The course consists of three loops around the historic Ridgewood Reservoir within Highland Park. The reservoir was built in 1858 and its three basins form a roughly 50 acre green space. The route gives participants an opportunity to observe the site’s history, water ecology, and natural setting.
Event amenities include live online, email, and text results, free finish line photos, and a hydration station that uses reusable Cup Zero cups with dedicated collection bins to reduce single use waste. Registered participants who complete registration three weeks before the event receive a personalized bib. A race T shirt is available for purchase in sizes Small through Extra Large at a listed price.
Awards for the Top 3 overall male and female finishers include placement medals and prize packages provided by Patagonia. Volunteer opportunities connected to NYC H2O are available separately; participants who complete an eligible volunteer event before the 5K receive a complimentary race shirt. Registration fees are non refundable and some discounted pricing is available for NYC H2O members. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
