Event overview
The Ridge Reaper Trail Runs is a new trail race on August 1, 2026, held at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation in Cross River, New York. The reservation is a 4,000+ acre preserve located about 50 miles north of New York City. The event is organized by Steep Endurance and offers timed, multi-distance trail races in a mostly wooded park with a mix of technical singletrack and wider carriage roads.
Distances and course
- 25K : one continuous loop, approximately 2200' elevation
- 50K : two loops of the 25K course, approximately 4400'+ elevation total
- 50M : two loops of a 25-mile loop, approximately 7000' elevation total
All distances start near the park meadow and share sections of trail, especially the opening and closing miles. The northern section of the park has more technical, less hilly trails; the southern section has more carriage roads/doubletrack and ridge views.
Logistics and policies
Aid stations (2-3 on course depending on distance) provide water, NAAK electrolyte drink, and typical food items such as chips, pretzels, candy, and some hot/cold options. The event is cupless; runners must carry their own bottle, pack, or cup. Entry fees vary by distance and registration period (examples listed: 25K $85–$105; 50K $105–$125; 50M $125–$175).
