Event overview
The Ridge Healthcare Foundation 5k Fun Run is scheduled for March 21, 2026, in Edgefield, South Carolina. The event supports the local Edgefield hospital and marks the opening of a new pharmacy at the hospital. The run/walk begins and ends on the town square in downtown Edgefield at 129 Courthouse Square. The entry fee is $30 and registration opens February 7, 2026.
Race details
The event distance is 5K. The course leaves the town square, joins the rail trail near Piedmont Technical College, follows the rail trail around Slade Lake, then returns toward downtown via Highway 25. The route continues onto Macedonia, Addison Street, and Buncombe back to the town square. Prizes are offered for men and women in the following age groups: 8-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
Family activities will take place on the square after the run, including jump houses for children. Participants registered after February 26 may not receive a shirt or their requested shirt size. Extra T-shirts will be available for sale after the race in limited quantities and sizes. Children under age 8 may participate free of charge but will not receive a shirt unless officially registered. The event has a no-refund policy and will proceed in rain or shine.
