Ridenour Preserve Trail Run
Ridenour Lake in Nitro, WV hosts a free day of trail events and outdoor activities to mark the preserve expansion. The property has expanded from 60 to 319 acres and now contains over 20 miles of new trails.
The event program includes organized trail running and mountain bike races. Entry is free for all listed events. Registration opens on June 12, 2026 and closes on June 20, 2026. On-site registration is available before each race.

Additional offerings during the day include a food truck, fishing, kayaks, and paddle boats. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled as part of the day. The day of activities is sponsored by Nitro CVB.
