Boxer Brief 5K : Overview
The Boxer Brief 5K & Virtual Challenge to Defeat Colorectal Cancer is scheduled for June 6-7, 2026 at City Stadium, Home to the Richmond Kickers, in Richmond, Virginia. This is the 14th annual edition. The event raises funds for Hitting Cancer Below the Belt and supports their screening and educational services related to colorectal cancer. The onsite option is a timed 5K and there is an untimed, global Virtual Challenge option.

- 5K onsite, timed, in Richmond.
- Virtual Challenge, off site and untimed, with participants accumulating miles via Walk, Run, Ride, Swim, Paddle, or Dink.
Entry fees shown in the event information list a current price of $32 for the 5K and for the Virtual Challenge, with a price increase scheduled after January 31, 2026. Several children’s races are free: the Diaper Dash for children under one (crawl of four yards), the Toddler Trot for ages one and two (20 yards), and the Caped Colon Crusader sprint for children under six.
The live event includes music, costumes, and games. Awards are given to the overall fastest man and woman, top age-group finishers, fastest duos (including stroller or pet pairings), and team awards for Best Team Costume, Largest Social Team, Largest Corporate Team, and Top Fundraising Team.
