Boxer Brief 5K & Virtual Challenge to Defeat Colorectal Cancer
The event on June 12-13, 2027 brings together colorectal cancer survivors, patients, family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues to support prevention and education. It marks the 15th year and proceeds support Hitting Cancer Below the Belt's screening and educational services.
Onsite activities take place at City Stadium, 3201 Maplewood Avenue, Richmond, VA 23221. The onsite course begins within the stadium complex and winds around Windsor Farms on an all-terrain route with a few small hills. A global, untimed Virtual Challenge runs during the same weekend and allows participants to accumulate miles through walking, running, cycling, swimming, paddling, or pickleball from any location.

Registration for the main 5K and the Virtual Challenge opens October 1, 2026 and closes December 31, 2026. Registration for youth and toddler races opens October 1, 2026 and closes on the day of the event. The posted registration fee for the 5K and Virtual Challenge is $32.00. Awards include overall fastest man and woman, age group awards, fastest duos, stroller and pet highlights, and several team awards including top fundraising team.
