Allianz Richmond Marathon, CarMax Richmond Half Marathon, & Richmond 8k
The event takes place in Richmond, Virginia on November 14, 2026, with the start/finish area near 1st and E. Broad Street (ZIP 23220). The program includes in-person and virtual options for each distance and a multi-race Richmond Challenge that combines in-person and virtual completions during November.

The in-person fields have participant limits: the marathon is limited to 6,200 runners and the half marathon to 10,000 runners. Age minimums apply: marathon 16 and older, half marathon 12 and older, 8k 6 and older. Published entry fees for 2026 include $115 for the in-person marathon, $95 for the in-person half marathon, and $40 for the in-person 8k; separate virtual entry fees are listed for each distance.
Organized training teams run ahead of the race: a 23-week marathon team, a 14-week half marathon team, and an 8-week 8k team; some training teams include a free race entry. The event supports Sports Backers Youth Programs through charity entries and donations.
