Richmond Autumn Riverside 10k and Half Marathon
The event is held on the Richmond riverside at Ham Street near Ham House (TW10 7RS). The route runs along the river towards Kingston and then returns along the towpath, offering riverside views for much of the course. The surface is a mix of trail and paths and the course is described as flat. The start and finish are at the Riverside carpark off Ham Street and the finish is by Ham House.
Distances
- 10 km out and back once
- Half Marathon out and back twice
The event is chip timed using chip on bib numbers. The course is marked and marshalled and there is medical cover. Water stations are provided, with one located at approximately 7 km; finish line water and sweets are available. Results are shown on the Results Base Timing screen and participants receive a post-race email with results. Race packs are collected at registration on the day and bag storage is available but limited.
Practical notes: off road buggies are permitted; the course is not wheelchair friendly. The start uses staggered waves to reduce towpath congestion. Participants are asked to stay on the left unless directed otherwise and to ensure they can hear marshal instructions when wearing headphones. Parking at Ham Street is very limited and Ham House parking is for visitors only; Richmond station is about a 20 to 30 minute walk. The event hub is on the grass to the right of the carpark at the riverside.
The event supports The Brain Tumour Charity. Fundraising is optional with no minimum target; fundraising participants may receive a charity running vest and a fundraising pack. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
