Retro Run 5k - Ocala, FL
The Retro Run 5 km is scheduled for August 22, 2026 and takes place in downtown Ocala along SE Osceola Ave. The event is presented as the fifth annual edition and is listed as the opening race of the Run Ocala Race Series.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race on Friday, August 21, with a window from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM; the pickup location is to be determined. Registrations submitted by August 10 are guaranteed a race T-shirt while supplies last. The published entry fee for the listed event is $30.
Awards are given overall and for overall masters, plus top three finishers in age-group categories spanning youth to 75 and over. Additional recognitions include a Best Dressed prize for retro attire and a special prize for the fastest 5 km completed in Chuck Taylor style canvas shoes. The event notes a policy that dogs are not permitted on the race course for safety and insurance reasons; well-behaved leashed dogs may spectate off the course and registered service animals are an exception.
