Retro Run 5k
The Retro Run 5k is the fifth annual 3.1 mile race held in downtown Ocala on SE Osceola Ave as part of the Run Ocala Race Series. The event uses a vintage running theme and encourages old-school attire.
Entry information listed a registration fee of $25.00. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, August 21, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at a location to be determined. Registrations were opened on 11/25/2025 and closed on 1/12/2026.
Awards are presented for overall placement, overall masters, and the top three finishers in standard age groups. Age group categories include 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75 and over.
Additional recognitions include a Best Dressed prize for vintage outfits and a special prize for the fastest 5k completed in canvas shoes such as Chucks. Event materials note that race shirts are guaranteed for registrants who register by August 10.
Dogs are not permitted to run on the course due to event insurance restrictions. Leashed spectator pets are allowed along the sidelines if controlled, and registered service animals are exceptions to the policy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
