10th Annual Resurrection Run & Community Easter Egg Hunt
The event takes place on March 28, 2026 at Lake Forest Park in Henderson, TX. It is organized as a community Easter event that will celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and raise funds for Henderson Interchurch Ministry, Rusk County Legacy House, and Rusk-Panola Children's Advocacy Center. The program includes in-person races, donation-only and virtual options.

Logistics and race details
The 5K and 10K courses start and end at Lake Forest Park and run through Henderson neighborhoods and downtown. Surfaces include concrete and asphalt. Both courses are open to traffic with no road closures; the Henderson Police Department will police the route and assist with traffic direction. There will be at least one water/aid station on the course. The 1K dash is non-competitive and stays on concrete trails inside the park.
Early packet pick-up is scheduled at Ebenezer Baptist Church (date TBD). Participants are asked to enter Lake Forest Park from Highway 64 and use the Civic Center parking lot; carpooling is suggested. Restrooms are available on site. If accommodations are needed, organizers request contact at least seven days before race day. Awards for the live 5K and 10K will be given to the top three males and top three females in standard age groups; no overall awards will be presented.
