What the event is and when
The 10th Annual Resurrection Run & Community Easter Egg Hunt takes place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Lake Forest Park in Henderson, TX (1005 TX 64, 75652). The event marks a community Easter celebration tied to the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and raises funds for Henderson Interchurch Ministry, Rusk County Legacy House, and Rusk-Panola Children's Advocacy Center. An Easter egg hunt provided by Ebenezer Baptist Church follows the running events.

The event program includes:

The 5K and 10K start and finish at Lake Forest Park and run through Henderson neighborhoods and downtown on both concrete and asphalt. Courses are open to traffic with police assistance for traffic direction; there will be at least one water/aid station on the route. The 1K dash stays on concrete trails within the park. Age-group awards for live 5K and 10K participants will be given to the top three males and top three females in divisions: 18 and under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Early packet pick-up is listed at Ebenezer Baptist Church (date TBD); race day packet pick-up and on-site restrooms are also provided. Arrival is advised via Highway 64 with Civic Center parking available. Accommodations requests must be made at least seven days before race day.
