Responders First 5K and 1 Mile Family Fun Day
The Responders First 5K and 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk takes place on October 31, 2026 in Brooksville, Florida at 11210 Cortez Blvd. The event combines a timed 5K and a family oriented 1 Mile run walk with community activities and vendor offerings.

Registration opens July 1, 2026. Registration deadlines vary by category; most registrations close August 31, 2026 while the youth category for ages 6 and under remains open until October 30, 2026. Fees listed for the event are fifty five? correction: use only source : 5K thirty five dollars, 1 Mile adult sixteen years and older thirty dollars, 1 Mile youth ages six to fifteen twenty dollars, 1 Mile ages six and under free. Participants who register before October 1, 2026 are guaranteed a race day shirt and participant medal subject to availability.
Onsite activities include a Halloween costume contest, music and entertainment, food trucks, bounce houses, local vendors, trick or treating for children, prizes and giveaways, and family friendly activities. Advance packet pickup is available prior to race day at Sand Hill Scout Reservation.
Awards include custom race awards for the top three overall male and female finishers and top male and female in the following age groups: 9 and under, 10 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over.
Proceeds will benefit the Responders First Wellness Program, which provides support and resources for veterans and first responders experiencing PTSD and related challenges.
