Responders First 5K & Family Fun Day
The Responders First 5K & Family Fun Day is the inaugural community running and family event on October 31, 2026 at 11210 Cortez Blvd, Brooksville, Florida. It includes a timed 5K and several 1 mile family run/walk options alongside a day of Halloween-themed activities and community vendors.

- 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk (Adult 16 and older; Youth 6–15; Youth 6 and under)
Registration opens July 1, 2026. Registration deadlines and fees vary by category: the 5K registration fee is $35; 1 mile adult is $30; 1 mile youth (ages 6–15) is $20; youth ages 6 and under may register free. Some categories have earlier registration close dates; one youth category closes October 30, 2026.
Event proceeds support the Responders First Wellness Program, which provides resources for Veterans and First Responders experiencing PTSD and other trauma or stress-related challenges.
Planned on-site activities and amenities include a Halloween costume contest, music and entertainment, food trucks, bounce houses, local vendors, trick-or-treating for children, prizes and giveaways, and custom race awards. Advance packet pickup will be available prior to race day with location and time to be announced. Awards will be presented to the Top 3 overall male and female finishers and to top male and female finishers in standard age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
