Resolution Run 5K and Polar Bear Dive
The Resolution Run is a community 5K run/walk held at the Magnuson Park Boat Launch in Seattle with an optional Polar Bear Dive into Lake Washington and a finish festival. The Polar Bear Dive is optional and about 60% of participants choose to plunge; plunge and dry 5K results are scored separately. Two heated gender-specific changing room tents are provided onsite.

The course is mostly flat with a total elevation gain of 81 feet, includes one small hill around 1.2 miles, and uses a mix of asphalt and gravel surfaces.
Registration is available online and in-store at Super Jock n Jill Green Lake. Pricing tiers are listed for pre-registration and day-of entry: $40 pre-registration through Nov 30, $45 pre-registration Dec 1–31, and $50 day of the race. Club Northwest members receive a $15 discount except for day-of registration. Packet pickup is available at Super Jock n Jill on the days before the event and morning-of at the event location; the store address is 7210 East Green Lake Dr N, Seattle, WA 98115.
The finish festival includes free chili, hot chocolate, cider, and coffee, a beer garden for attendees 21 and over, an awards ceremony, over 60 divisional prizes, and participant shirts or medals (limited medal stock). Kids who run the Kids Dash receive a bib and a finisher ribbon. Volunteer incentives include a shirt, a drink ticket, and entry into a raffle.
