Resolution Run : Club Northwest
The Resolution Run is a community 5K run and walk held at the Magnuson Park Boat Launch in Magnuson Park, Seattle, paired with an optional Polar Bear Dive into Lake Washington and a finish festival.

The course is mostly flat with 81 feet of total elevation gain, includes one small hill at about 1.2 miles, and is a mix of asphalt and gravel. The Polar Bear Dive is located just before the finish line; about 60% of participants choose the plunge. Two heated gender specific changing tents are available onsite. Polar plunge and dry 5K results are scored separately.
The finish festival features a free chili feed, hot chocolate, apple cider and coffee, a free Kids Dash, and a Winter Warmer beer garden for guests 21 and over with beer and heated spiked beverages. All entries receive a long sleeve t-shirt with an optional medal available in limited quantity; short-sleeve and long-sleeve tech shirt options are offered. The Kids Dash is free while youth-sized shirts are available for purchase.
Registration pricing varies by date: $40 pre-registration until November 30, $45 pre-registration December 1–31, and $50 on the day of the event on January 1. Club Northwest members receive a $15 discount except for day-of registration. Proceeds support Club Northwest, a nonprofit promoting track and field, cross country, and road racing in the Seattle area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
