Event Overview
The Resolution Relay: B.Y.O.B. (Bring Your Own Baton) is a running event held in Boring, Oregon. Starting at the Boring Grange, the event focuses on a 13.1-mile distance that can be completed individually or as part of a relay team. Participants can choose between several entry formats:
- Half Marathon: 4 Person Relay
- Half Marathon: 3 Person Relay
- Half Marathon: 2 Person Relay
- Half Marathon: Individual
For the three-person relay, one team member completes two legs of the race while the other two members complete one leg each. Teams consisting of three or four people are required to provide one volunteer for the event.
Team Requirements and Awards
Participants in the relay categories are required to bring their own unique baton. An award is presented to the team with the most unique baton. Awards are also given to the first-place male, female, and mixed relay teams in each group, as well as the first-place male, female, and non-binary individuals.
The event includes a costume contest for both relay teams and individual runners. Participants who wish to be judged for the costume award must submit a photo of their team in full costume on the morning of the race. Runners who register by December 11, 2026, receive a shirt with their preferred size, while those registering after this date are not eligible for a shirt.
