Resolution Relay: B.Y.O.B. Bring Your Own Baton
The event is a half marathon relay in Boring, Oregon on January 4, 2026, based at the Boring Grange, 27861 SE Grange Street. It offers four entry formats: individual and relay teams of 2, 3, or 4. Relay events are open to ages 8 to 100; the individual half marathon is open to ages 13 to 100. Entry fees vary by event. Registration closes January 2, 2026; shirt-size guarantees end December 11, 2025.
Event format, course and race services
The course is an out-and-back with multiple exchange points. Leg distances are:
- Leg 1: 3.5 miles
- Leg 2: 3.9 miles
- Leg 3: 2.2 miles
- Leg 4: 3.5 miles
Water will be available at the start/finish and Main City Park; an aid station with water and one porta-potty will be at the Palmblad exchange. Runners will pass each aid station twice. Limited quantities of energy gel (Gu) will be available. Disposable chip timing is used: individual runners receive a chip on their bib; relay teams receive chips on the first and last runner only and are timed for overall team time. Awards are given to first place male, female and mixed relay teams in each group, and first place individual male, female and non-binary. A costume contest is held for each event group and requires a team photo submission the morning of the race for judging.
Packet pick up is scheduled the day before at Mt Hood Lanes in Gresham and on race morning at the Boring Grange. A pancake breakfast and hot coffee will be served at the Grange for racers and volunteers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
