About the race
The Remembrance Run 5K is a community running and walking event held in Phoenix Park, Dublin. The 2026 edition takes place on Sunday 8 November and is the event's 15th edition. The event is owned and operated by Athletics Ireland and is supported by a range of partners including main sponsor 123.ie. The route runs through Phoenix Park, starting on Chesterfield Avenue and finishing on Furze Road.
Entry includes the traditional Remembrance Run commemorative candle and event-day entertainment. Participants can choose to buy a long-sleeve eco-friendly event T-shirt and may create a fundraising page when registering; in 2025 more than €30,000 was raised for charities. A Wall of Remembrance will display messages for loved ones. Attendees may submit a message and photo to be shown on the event big screen; submissions have a deadline of Sunday 1 November 2026.
The event also maintains a shared Spotify playlist to which participants can add songs, and organisers invite participants to share personal stories for possible feature across event channels. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
