Event Overview
The 43rd annual Red's Race for a Better Community is a fundraising road race held in Dover, New Hampshire. The 2026 edition introduces a new 5K race course alongside the traditional 5-mile event. The event starts and finishes at Woodman Park Elementary School on Towle Ave.
Distances and Participation
Participants can choose from two road race distances:
- 5 Mile Road Race
- 5K Road Race
Both races are open to runners and walkers. Youth participants under 14 years old have a separate registration category with a different fee.
Charitable Purpose
The event raises funds for two local non-profit organizations serving Strafford County: the Woodman Park School PTO and the Seymour Osman Community Center. It is also listed as the third race in the 2026 Dover Race Series.
Registration and Logistics
Online registration closes at 12:00 PM on April 9, 2026. On-site registration will be available during bib pick-up on April 10 at Red's Shoe Barn and on the morning of the event, April 11, at Woodman Park School. All runners receive a 10% discount at Red's Shoe Barn for the week following the event when they present their race bib. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
