Redondo Beach Super Bowl Sunday 10K/5K
The Redondo Beach Super Bowl Sunday 10K/5K is a long-standing tradition on the Southern California waterfront, having taken place for 49 years. The event features a scenic course that guides participants past several local landmarks, including the Historic Redondo Beach Pier, the King Harbor marina, and the Wyland whale mural. The route is characterized by ocean breezes and typical coastal winter weather.
The event offers a wide variety of distances and categories to accommodate different types of movement, including:
- 10 km Run
- 10 km Baby Buggy Run
- 5 km Run/Walk
- 5 km Stroller Walk
- 1 km Kids Fun Run (for ages 12 and under)
- Big Game Day Challenge (combined 10 km and 5 km)
In addition to the races, a two-day Health & Fitness Expo is held at the event site. The expo provides participants and spectators with access to food, beverages, and running gear. Packet pick-up, which includes the race bib and event t-shirt, is also managed at the expo. Other festivities on race day include a costume contest and an awards ceremony.
