ReDiscover YOUR Light 5K Run+Walk
ReDiscover YOUR Light 5K Run+Walk is organized by The Starr Institute and takes place in Miramar, Florida, with both an in-person event at Miramar Regional Park and a virtual race week. The event offers a 3.1 miles distance for both participation options and aims to raise awareness of child sexual abuse prevention.
The virtual race runs November 8 to November 14, 2026 and includes a virtual race bib and a T-shirt. The in-person event is scheduled for November 14, 2026 at Miramar Regional Park, 16801 Miramar Pkwy, Miramar, FL 33027. Registration opens April 13, 2026 and closes November 14, 2026, with a registration fee of $35. Registering by October 13, 2026 guarantees the race shirt for in-person participants. The first 65 in-person finishers receive a commemorative medal. Per park rules, dogs are not allowed at the race.
Over the past eight years more than 900 participants from 34 states and three countries have taken part. Organizer goals for 2026 include 200 in-person participants, 100 virtual participants, and expanding representation by one additional state and one additional country.
