The Redcar Running Festival is a multi-race event held in Redcar, with races run on tarmac roads closed to vehicles. A licence has been applied for. The main race distances are certified by AUKCM.
Race formats include:
- Half Marathon certified by AUKCM.
- Zetland 10km certified by AUKCM.
- 3km Young Athletes Race and 3km Fun Run.
All races use chip timing and results are published via the event results partner. Every finisher in the Half Marathon and 10km receives a T-shirt and a medal. Every finisher in the 3km events receives a medal; no T-shirt is provided for the 3km events. Race numbers must be collected on the day or during a limited collection period the day before; numbers are not posted.
The 3km Young Athletes Race has a minimum age of 4 on the day. The Young Athletes race is open to boys and girls in the Under 13 or Under 15 age groups who are registered with England Athletics; other entrants are entered as Fun Run participants. Parents may run with children in the fun run without registering.
The Half Marathon is designated as an England Masters qualification event and also requires registration with ROSTER for qualification. The organiser is New Marske Harriers AC and the venue is Zetland Park, The Crescent, Redcar. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
