Red White & Ruck Nash : event overview
Red White & Ruck Nash is a charity ruck held in Arrington, Tennessee at Castle Park (2135 New Castle Road, Arrington, TN 37014). The event is a time-trial ruck on a closed loop course and is presented by FleetFeet Nashville in support of Memories of Honor. Proceeds support the Enduring Heroes Program, which helps Gold Star family members attend an annual active retreat associated with the Bataan Memorial Death March.
Format, categories and what to expect
The course loop is approximately 3/4-mile. Participants complete as many laps as they choose within the event time limit. Every registered participant receives a commemorative bib and patch and a bib containing the name of a fallen service member to ruck in their honor. Relay teams use a staging area to check in after each lap and tag teammates; teams receive a punch card to record completed laps.
Categories include solo and relay divisions (2-, 3-, and 4-person teams), plus an Honorary no-weight category and a Gold Star / Veteran resource tent. Divisions are defined as No Weight (non-competitive), Light (about 20+ lbs ruck or vest), and Heavy (about 35+ lbs ruck or vest). Personal coolers, chairs, and weighted popups are allowed; water and snacks are available at the staging area and items carried for nutrition must be outside packs in clear bags.
