Event Overview

The 8th Annual Red, White & Blue 5K Run/Walk is a July 3 event at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach. It includes three activities:

  • Red, White, and Blue 5K Run/Walk
  • Uncle Sam's 1 Mile Walk
  • Stars and Stripes Kids' Dash (50 yards)

The Kids' Dash is a free, untimed event. Participants are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue or costumes.

Logistics and Rules

Registration is only available online and closes on the morning of the event. Packet pickup is available the day before at a location in Myrtle Beach and on race morning at a location to be determined.

Parking is available in the Crooked Hammock parking lot and surrounding lots in Barefoot Landing. Public restrooms are located across from Taco Mundo and beside the sand courts at Lulu's.

The event has several rules for the race course. Animals, baby joggers, strollers, skateboards, rollerblades, and unauthorized bicycles are not permitted. Service animals and ADA-recognized wheelchairs or mobility aids are permitted, but participants must inform staff at bib pickup. There is no water stop on the course.

Awards and Swag

Awards are given for the 5K race. These include overall, masters, and age group awards for male and female participants. No awards are given for the 1 Mile Walk or the Kids' Dash.

Participants in the 5K and 1 Mile Walk receive a participant shirt (while supplies last) and a finisher medal. All participants receive a race bib. Kids' Dash participants receive a finisher gift and have the option to purchase a t-shirt during registration.

The event lists The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach as a non-profit partner. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
