Red Lion Roar & Run 5K
The Red Lion Roar & Run 5K is scheduled for October 9, 2026 at Red Lion Christian Academy in Bear, Delaware. The event brings together students, families, alumni, and community members around a Christ-centered purpose; net proceeds support the Red Lion Christian Academy Parent Teacher Fellowship and its educational mission.
The event offers multiple participation options:
- 5K run/walk race
- Competitive Walking 5K for walkers only, no running or jogging permitted
- Kiddie K sprint for children 8 and under (free)
Race logistics and policies noted by the organizer include a plotted course route, a no dogs policy due to insurance liability, non-transferable bibs, and no refunds on registrations. Registration fees listed in the event information include a fee for the 5K and competitive walking entries, while the Kiddie K is free.
Amenities announced for participants include race T-shirts for the first 300 registrants, post-race snacks, music from a DJ, a photo step-and-repeat, a bounce house, and vendor items such as Kona Ice and Playa Bowls. Awards are given to top finishers: overall male/female and overall masters are scored by gun time, with other age-group awards scored by chip (net) time.
