Event Overview
The Red Feather Trail Jamboree is a three-day trail running weekend held at the Ben Delatour Scout Ranch near Red Feather Lakes, Colorado. The event offers trail races of three distances: a 50-mile, a 50K, and a half marathon. A free 1-mile kids race is also held on Sunday.
Courses & Terrain
The courses travel through forest, fields, and past streams on the private scout camp land and surrounding national forest. The terrain is described as 70-80% singletrack and 20-30% dirt road.
- Half Marathon: The course is noted as having moderate climbs and smooth trails, with no intermediate time cut-offs.
- 50K: The route includes more technical terrain for the first 10 miles before connecting with flowing trails. There are no intermediate time cut-offs.
- 50 Mile: This route combines trails from five different systems, reaching a high point near Middle Bald Mountain. It has one intermediate cut-off point at the 50K mark.
All courses are marked with pink flagging and directional arrows.
Event Details & Amenities
The event aims to be a family-friendly weekend. The venue offers campgrounds and cabins for rent, an on-site shower house, and a community dinner in the dining hall. A post-race meal is provided for runners.
Aid stations are stocked with sports drink, water, salty snacks, fruit, sweets, and soda. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available.
Logistics
