Red Brick Run 5K

The Red Brick Run 5K is an annual 5-kilometer road run on the Miami University Oxford campus. The event draws competitive and recreational runners and follows a mapped route that passes through the historic red brick core of campus.

The course begins in front of Millett Assembly Hall and proceeds south on Talawanda Road, with a street crossing at Sycamore Street. Runners continue to High Street, head west toward Campus Avenue, then follow Campus Avenue south to Spring Street. The route turns east on Spring Street toward Armstrong Student Center, crosses S Patterson Avenue onto Cook Field, runs along the north and east sides of Cook Field, then doubles back toward East Quad and Dorsey. The west wall of Dorsey marks the two mile point. The course returns via High Street and Talawanda Road to finish at Millett Assembly Hall.

Race amenities listed for participants include hydration stations, a Red Brick award and a post-race award ceremony. All entries receive a Red Brick Run T-shirt. Registration options and fees shown are $30 early registration by April 23 at 5 p.m. and $35 late registration.

Two affiliated events use the same route: a memorial race that supports a university scholarship and a Paws for a Cause race that supports service dog socialization and training and related community efforts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
