Red Brick Run 5K
The Red Brick Run is a campus 5K road event at Miami University scheduled for Sunday, April 25, 2027. The race follows a measured 5K route that passes many of the university's red brick buildings and campus landmarks.
The course begins in front of Millett Assembly Hall and moves south along Talawanda Road with a crossing at Sycamore Street. Runners continue toward High Street, turn west to Campus Avenue, then follow Campus Avenue south to Spring Street. The route proceeds east on Spring Street toward S Patterson Avenue, crosses onto Cook Field, runs along the north and east sides of Cook Field, doubles back past East Quad and Dorsey, and returns across S Patterson Avenue and High Street to Talawanda Road before finishing back at Millett Assembly Hall. The west wall of Dorsey is noted as the two mile mark on the course.
Event amenities include hydration stations, a Red Brick Award, and a post race award ceremony. All entries receive a Red Brick Run T shirt. Entry fees are listed as $30 for early registration by April 23 and $35 for late registration. Two companion events use the same route: a memorial companion run that supports a university scholarship and a Paws for a Cause run that raises funds for service dog socialization and training efforts.
