Event Overview
The 5th Annual Recovery Awareness Walk & 5K takes place in Shawano, Wisconsin. The event is organized by the Shawano Menominee Resiliency Coalition to raise awareness and support for people affected by addiction and mental health challenges.
Activities and Schedule
The event offers several participant options:
- 5k Fun Run/Walk
- 1.25 Mile Walk
A separate registration category exists for child participants aged 17 and under. The event day includes a recovery resource fair, a welcome ceremony with guest speakers, and the start of the run and walk. Throughout the day, there will be family-friendly activities such as a bounce house and children's games, live music, and food trucks. The event is held rain or shine.
Location and Registration
The event starts and finishes at Franklin Park in Shawano (235 S Washington St.). There is an option for pre-registered participants to pick up event t-shirts the day before at a specified location in Shawano.
